I'm guessing he didn't want the hassle of moving to another city for one more year of playing
He definitely has a couple years of football left in him (if he wants to play this out). He was still very productive last year and a good WR (still nearly 1,000 yards with sharing with JSN) - he's just not $26M worth lol. I was saying (I think in this thread) that he's worth about $15M IMO right now. And that's exactly what Seattle gave him. I would imagine most teams would be perfectly fine giving Lockett $15M per year, that's probably exactly what he would've gotten on the open market. That's right around where Diontae Johnson, Aiyuk (although that's a 5th year option rookie deal, he's going to command way more), Michael Gallup (lol, overpaid) DJ Moore are (DJ is also going to want more)
