Aerosmith has been my favorite since my daughter dated a kid across the street from Joe Perry's sister.

How many people can say that they played half court basketball with Steve Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton and Joey Kramer?
My daughter and her boyfriend were playing ball when I picked her up and Kramer needed a break so I stepped in. God's honest truth, I had no idea who they were at the time. Tyler told me that I'd never forget that day when they became better and more famous that the Beatles. I laughed at him.

Walk this way was overplayed so much in California that I became a serial hater of Aerosmith.
I can now say I recognize the talent. I will still turn the radio off if that song comes on.
I like Boston and will listen to it but will never put it on myself.
I guess I pick Boston? Would be easier if it wasn't overplayed also.

Damn! I sound like an ass!

Have a friend who was riding the T in the early 90's. He glanced across and Steven Tyler is sitting there. He gave one of those half amazed looks (you know the one where you kinda pull your head back and half shrug) to which Tyler gave him the "what's up" head nod back with a smile.

He moved to Nashville a number of years ago and there are thousands of those stories now about Steven being out in the greater Nashville area just being...cool.

Boston.

The keyboard guy in my dorm band at college was Tom Scholz. Yes, that Tom Scholz. The band was called Liberation.

Had a girlfriend named Fara with big tits, too.

I had a guy in my Division at Great lakes boot camp. His name was Dick Shenafelt. This guy could make a saxophone do stuff that would make your teeth hurt. He was in the boot camp navy band and got assigned the the official U.S. Navy Band after. Spent our only liberty weekend with him in Milwaukee, WI. Like me, he got drafted and joined the navy because all of the people that knew him couldn't get him out of serving. He was the lead sax in James Brown's backup band.

Was never able to locate him after boot camp.

Day 35 You Be Trippin ( I may have chosen Lucy In The Sky but some people still think that song is not about an Acid Trip.

Jefferson Airplane: White Rabbit

Tom Petty: Don't Come Around Here

Tough call, again. Petty's one of my all time favorites and it was probably this song/video that really opened my eyes to him. But White Rabbit is one of the best songs from the sixties... White Rabbit.
