Sooner= A cheat, land grabbing lowlife that can't or won't follow the rules. Imagine NFL players looking for something to do. "Lets go tip over some cows", Oops, that one was a two legged cow.
Gonna be a tough place to entice free agents.

i just cant imagine how much worse oakland is going to get if they lose the raiders, A's and warriors, which it looks like 2 of 3 will happen.

As opposed to:

Seattle - a place of constant rain and depression.

Philly - a place that threw snow balls at Santa

Jacksonville - where anyone can be QB.

I think the Thunder's success pretty much prove OKC will support a pro team in any sport.

Oklahoma, I can tell you from having lived there so long, was much more into football than basketballbefore the Thunder arrived.

If native Oklahomans become majority owners of an NFL franchise in OKC the relatively small population of the state won't make much difference. IMO. Any more than Green Bay's small population has limited the Packers' success.

True, and the entertainment options are certainly more limited than Cali. Selling out might not be as herculean a task............

Sounds interesting. Seeing how the Thunder have done, I think Oklahoma would love a pro football team. Just didn't think it would be the Raiders.

I really have a hard time seeing this in the near future given that Oklahoma is basically surrounded by the Chiefs, Cowboys, and Broncos. I can't imagine those owners allowing it either. If I recall, the NFL has not moved to Canada in the past out of respect for the integrity of the CFL, but I would need to check again. Seems hard to escape the allure of LA, it is good fun I am sure for the NFL to bully cities with the LA card, but the money is calling and the NFL will want a team in LA sooner than later regardless of the past. The Raiders are almost too perfect a fit for LA.

I'm not too sure about this. The Thunder is not really a good comparison, imo. When the Sonics moved there, Kevin Durant was already in the fold and the team wasn't that far off from contention. Plus the NBA is a totally different thing than the NFL. I don't know if this is a good idea, despite the numbers quoted in the article. The NFL, I would think, will want the Raiders in a big market for TV if they move.

No NFL team is moving to OKC. Too small of a market cramped in by existing teams. Will never happen.
Next subject please.

Gonna be a tough place to entice free agents.

The phrase did originate as an insult but most Oklahomans these days are unaware of that. I spent the first 25 years of my life there so I know.

I would hardly insist that an NFL team in my native city call itself that, and if Oklahoma University changed it's team name I would not object, but non-Oklahomans should be aware that the insulting meaning is very out-of-date.
