Do the A's still lead the AL in blown saves? Makes you wonder what the record would be with Balfour this season.

I have faith in the bullpen moving forward however.

@ Tampa... I can hardly watch games in that stupid dome. Almost as bad as old Twinkies dome

I wonder when JJ will get his act together. Even in these low pressure outings, he still is horrible. Should we look at bringing back Street? SD will fade soon enough. :noidea:

Yesterday's performance was so bad. 4 walks and a bit batter. Sheesh. Thank goodness Oakland had such a big lead.

It really looked like it was going to be 9-6 at any minute. That would have changed the whole complexion. He blew a team shutout earlier in the week too, right?

Yes. And I agree. After the walk with bases loaded I am so glad they put Abad in to get an out.

Isn't that unreal? My buddy and I were talking about this today when they opened it up on e again on Cleveland.

Just for reference, their run differential in 2012 was +99 (they went 94-68).

A's are 28-16, but they've actually underachieved their pythag by 4 games (32-12). If it wasn't for Johnson, they could have been 32-12. Lol.

A's have the highest team OPS+ in the league (119) and 3rd best ERA+ (130, just behind the Braves and Tigers).

THE CURSE BEGINS. :(

Goats for the sweep-killer:

3. Reddick - total fail with bases loaded in the 9th, less than 2 outs, can't drive in a run.
2. Melvin - rode Otero way too long. Can't blame Otero for the loss.
1. Johnson - this SOB is still not up to the closer role. Melvin can't count on him to close it out. Dump him now.

Still a great run, but a shame to lose like that. On the other hand, we were as lucky as a team could be to win on Wednesday (1 hit - 3 runs).

That is how I see it also Zar. The A's have had the ball bounce our way a few times so far. Regardless though, these blown saves are frustrating.

But @ 30-17 so far.... I take it all day.

One heck of a run since the Seattle series.

Hey Mamba, were you ever on the ESPN board? If so, do you remember that clown Dump? Looking back at my last post brought back the memories (or nightmares). :laugh3:

I remember him. Did he off himself after Grant Green got traded to the Angels?

Ha-ha. Maybe. There's were classic tools on the Raider board too, but Dump was non-stop comedy on the A's board.

No posts since last week? This is certainly a thread worthy of the team with the best record in baseball right now.
