Source Code: 4/5. With just about any actor but Jake Gyllenhaal, the movie would have just been "pretty good" but with him, it was "pretty damn good." Easily a top 5 actor of mine. The plot was a little thin, especially for a ski-fi, but like I said, Gyllenhaal makes it worth it.

The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance: 4.5/5 stars. When you have the two leads as good as Jimmy Stewart and John Wayne, you can do something that other great leads said quite often: "Fuggetabouted." Great movie with a very interesting ending. Probably my second favorite Western of all time, right after The Hateful Eight.

Vertigo: 4.5/5 stars. I understand that a lot of people didn't like James Stewart for the role, but I liked him just fine. Kim Novak was great. I am torn on where they should have put the big reveal.

The Glengarry Glen Ross: 3.5/5 stars. Overall a very entertaining film. I especially liked Baldwin's tirade, and Lemmon and Pacino's performances.

On the third episode of The Crown. Ridiculously slow, but I'm a sucker for Winston Churchill portrayals, especially after the stellar one Mike Myers did in that Tarantino movie

Oh wait, that was Rod Taylor. Myers did someone else in that movie

Holy shit The Crown was terrible. Now on to Westworld for some much needed A.I., sex, and violence. I mean goddamn Netflix, give the people what they want, not some boring biopic on freaking Queen Elizabeth II!

Update: on the third episode of rematching The Wire (gave up on Westworld). Also, had a delicious meal at the Joyful Garden. Review on Yelp. Almost as good as you-know-where

You have the knack for finding these extreme dives. Joyful Garden possibly misnamed judging from the worst reviews. ".. it tasted like they dropped a bottle of soap on the food. .....Crab Ragoons took one bite and had to spit it out tasted like soiled fish..." My stomach is desperate for a bite or two.

Nonsense. Here's my review Jimmy C.'s review of Joyful Garden Chinese Restaurant

Snatch: 3/5 stars. Not as good as others make it out to be, but some truly funny moments in it. I'd recommend.

Bloodline is coming back for another season? How is that possible? I thought they wrapped everything up with the last episode

Arrival: 5/5 stars, the ninth movie I've ever awarded a perfect score. Officially slots up to number three on the 5/5 list, pushing Training Day out of the top 3. Full review coming in a couple days. What an awesome, thought-provoking film.

True Romance: 4/5 stars. Pretty good, but not as good as the movie its mainly compared to- Pulp Fiction. I wish they had used Walken more- his scene was legendary.

The Place Beyond The Pines: 2/5 stars. How does a movie with Ryan Gosling, Ben Mendehlson, Dane DeHaan, Ray Liotta, and Bradley Cooper become so emotionally devoid? The film was split into three parts. I liked them best in the order they appeared: 1 (Gosling and Mendehlson), 2 (Cooper and Liotta), and 3 (DeHaan and Cooper). Kind of disappointing.
