I'm not a huge NHL fan but I do follow the rangers from time to time and can someone explain to me why are the Rangers starting the season on a 9 game road trip? Seems pretty ridiculous

Renovations to MSG is the reason why the Rangers start the season with a 9 game roadie.

canucks nine of their first 13 are on the road with 7 of them over a 10 day period.
