Mets failed to answer in the top 8th.
    4-4 game..mid 8th.

    Gsellman pitching now.

This could be where the mets totally give it away...

He's gives up b2b 2 out singles....but gets the 3rd out to keep the game tied.

    Heading to the 9th.

Mets go down 1-2-3 in the 9th.
    Diaz comes in.

I know their BP options are limited, but I really hate it when a manager brings the closer in to pitch in a tie game.

Potential phillies walk off looms heavy.

Diaz sets the top of the phils order down 1-2-3.

    Bonus baseball.
    Onto the 10th.

    LGM!

    edit:
    Mets go down 1-2-3.

Stephen Nogosek is now on the mound for NY to begin the bottom of the 10th.

    Good Night, all.

I think I'd much rather have Brooklyn Cyclones manager Edgardo "Fonzie" Alfonzo managing the big club. Mickey Callaway seems clueless and ineffectual for the job.

    Something needs to be done.

Also...I'm definitely not an ageist by any stretch whatsoever.....(I'm 63)...but how long are they gonna stick with 82 yr old Phil Regan as the pitching coach?? It's been a week since they dumped Dave Eiland...and things have gone from bad to worse.

    Ughhh..

What would be worse than getting swept in a 4 game series??
Being no hit in the series finale.

That's were the Mets were until the 6th inning today...because they now have 1 hit.
    A lone single by Wheeler.

Wheeler also gave up a solo HR in the bottom 6th..to account for the only run in the game.

Phils lead 1-0, at the stretch.

He's now being relieved to begin the bottom 7th.

    Mets trail 1-0 after 8.

    LGM!!!

edit: Rosario grounds out slowly back to the mound but Smith scores from 3rd.

Time for Edwin Diaz to step up in the bottom half to close it down.

    This fucking team is cursed.
    It's beyond obvious.

    Wow.
    Just wow.

    What a sad joke.

They will now officially be entrenched as a bonafide laughing stock.

Numerous heads need to roll after this latest fiasco.

    @Nasty_Magician

Any thoughts or remedies to mitigate this ongoing shit show??

I'm out of ideas at this point.

They can't even get out of their own way even when they try.

    It's just beyond ridiculous.

That curse is a real thing.

    Can it get much worse???
