DIAZ!!

Love Lindor's passion and leadership.
Indeed.
One of the reasons ownership was clamoring to sign him.
That's a tangible asset and trait that can't really be taught...you either have it, or you don't.
He definitely has it...and the Mets are a better team because of it.....imho.

Now...all these mounting injuries is another story altogether.

Well there goes that good feeling...it was fleeting.
A 1 out single and walk...followed by a 2 out 3 run HR.
3-0 Braves...mid 3rd.

Would be nice if our entire team decided to circle the wagons and show up in this one.

The offence is just so bad. They can't generate anything. Looks like another shutout game - our only hit is from a pitcher who just got called up!

Offense was lifeless again....glad I left after the 5th inning to watch the NBA playoffs.

Mets lose 3-0...and they only had 2 hits in the game.

:L

They can rectify that with a win and get the series split tomorrow.

Up next:
Mets latest call up, right-hander Tylor Megill is expected to make his big league debut. Megill, who is 2-1 with a 3.35 ERA in eight starts between Double-A Binghamton and Triple-A Syracuse, will pitch in place of Joey Lucchesi, who was injured Friday and will undergo season-ending Tommy John surgery Thursday.
Braves RHP Kyle Wright (0-0, 4.15 ERA) was promoted from Triple-A to take Max Fried's spot in the rotation on Wednesday. Fried is listed as day to day with a finger blister inflammation. Wright made his lone big league appearance this year on April 16.

Well that's some good news at least.
Maybe he just took a weird step during a windup, or on a follow through after a pitch while on the mound yesterday which affected his hip. It happens. Hopefully he's gonna be good to go for his next start.

But, in a more sinister vein, and because we're talking about the Mets here...I pray it wasn't a grounds crew issue.
That's happened before too.

Good start tonight. Some hits, some other hard contact.

This pitcher for the Braves is struggling to throw strikes so we should be able to put up a few more runs.

Hope so. I'll take those semi unconventional runs any day of the week.

Also hope some of the Mets RH hitters lay off that guy's low & away stuff, because he'll feed them a steady diet of that if they don't. And welcome back Michael Conforto. His double after the Lindor's walk set the table for those 2 runs (WP and rbi groundout)
