I doubt we get that regardless

I dont think its that unlikely that we get a pitching prospect right on the fringe. If that's the case, why wouldnt you throw him into the rotation? You have like 8 risks, might as well make it another. If you're gonna have a risky team, than Mikolas, or Tepesch, or whoever else we conger up is going to get us anywhere

I love Sid. I just base it off his interviews, but I dont really see him barking at other players... just the refs when they miss a call. But when I watch his interviews or documentaries he comes across as the most modest, down to earth guy who is thankful for everything he's achieved. He's literally the lebron james of his sport easily, but people like Sid more than Lebron I'd think % wise.

LeBron earned his hatred for how he handled going to Miami. Also I think if he were white, people would probably look the other way on that more easily. For some reason the typical sports fan can relate more to a David Murphy than they can a DeShawn Stephenson, no matter how wrong that mindset might be....

Plenty of OFers in free agency next year that would be cheaper and give similar value, I'm not worried about Rios moving on

Haven't looked at any CF's in the FA crop for next year but it may be time to start at some point, the team needs multiple OF options it seems

Martin is fine if you build a better team around him. If he's your 8-9 hitter were fine. If he's hitting above that, we're in trouble.

Exactly. You can have light hitters in the 8 and 9 spot, but when you have them up and down the order like Texas had had this year you will lose 95 games.

After looking there is not much out there as far as OFer's besides Cruz, or Melky that would really bring more power and run production and aren't closing in on 35 or so. Guys like Rasmus, Bonifacio, or Denard Span don't really blow your skirt up

No thanks.

a little pop but isn't he hitting 220? Martin is still a better option, Rasmus wouldn't be much of an upgrade. Team needs run producers

I'd be interested in Markakis, Cabrera, and even Morse on a 1-2 year deal. I'd be interested in Cruz, but I'm certain he's priced himself out of our market.

5 year deal to Frenchy has to be a priority.

Cruz should see his big payday after the season he puts up this year. We likely will not be in position to compete, nor should we with that bidding war and as bad as we need pitching.

BTW, idk where our world series favorites thread is, but I got 50 bucks on LAD. They get 2 wins from Kershaw and Greinke no matter who they match up with.

Agreed. I'd like to see us compete in 2015, but I don't see that window really opening until 2016 unless a few big moves are made. Long time between now and next season though.
