Like the way ND's QB & receiver looked, and the game's in Southbend, but that defense or lack thereof was something else. We haven't been tested yet, and this first road game should be interesting.

I'd bet on Notre Dame (if I didn't have a hometown basis). Everytime I see a foolish point spread ... the easy pick losses.

It's probably your mind playing tricks on you.

You're much more likely to remember an easy spread failing than you are an easy spread winning.

Fair line, ND has killed themselves with an absurd amount of turnovers the first two games and still almost won both games. Their coaching sucks, but they have some talent on the field, and aren't going to turn the ball over 5 times per game all year.

What did ya'll expect it to be?

Still, I can't recall a situation where an 0-2 unranked team was favored over a 2-0 ranked opponent.

We haven't played anyone of note, (although Youngstown St field a decent team) but I think MSU is 3rd in pts or yards allowed. Figured the game would be +2 ND to cover "home field" advantage.

I don't care to look up if it has happend, but we all know the rankings are bullshit.

Anyway, opening pointspreads are based on mathematical formulas, none of the the inputs to those formulas are team record or AP ranking. The spread would have been the same if Michigan completes that last TD pass or not.
