I think if as long as we have a little leeway to have some friendly banter between teams fans it will be cool. My worry is over policing.

there was stuff on the ESPN boards that were overboard & ruined seemed like most of the threads over there.
I just don't care for people to threaten to arm wrestle me!
I think it is silly when people on a message board challenge a physical in person confrontation.
Think we could do without that, but often times debating with other teams fans who may just be trying to get a dig on your team over stuff. Brings up lots of good points. When it starts going back & forth.

Nah, no worries. There are a few people from ESPN that I knew of from my days there that got little leeway, but the only one that showed is now gone for a bit because he tried to keep trolling away. Other than that, there is very little policing that happens. I actually tend to let a lot more slide than maybe I should until someone complains or calls it out. Trust me, I hate censorship as much as anyone and don't want a dead board. I've been struggling without having fellow Cowboy fans to chat with so I'm insanely excited to see old friends showing up.

Also, in case anyone was wondering...we have more tools to use than ESPN did for handling trolls. We can delete posts, we can move posts/threads, we can ban for 24 hours all the way up to forever, and we can also just restrict people from certain boards. So if we see someone who is a good poster but loves to troll a certain team, we can just block them from that teams board. Then problems are solved and if anyone still wants to banter with that person they can do so where it is intended...on the NFL General board.

Like Fordman said, the hope is that we don't have to do anything at all. I think most of us like a little spirited banter and ribbing one another. What fun would it be if we couldn't talk a little trash?
