They have more swagger than the fixtures did.

I think Mitchell is undersized for B-one-G play but we'll see.

I'm not going to be a debbie downer tonight. we saw a lot of the future Huskers team tonight and we blew somebody out.

But you do realize tonight was 14 losses in a row for S. Miss right?

What I saw was improvement. Better tackling (not perfect), playing faster on defense, nobody looked confused.
Offensively I thought they still looked a little off.

HOWEVER, there was no (or at least very little) motion on behalf of the So Miss offense. These young kids struggled with that last week, and historically the defense has had problems when there are guys moving all over before the play starts.
Again, saw some improvements, but will withhold judgement until next week.

The defense looked a lot crisper. Taylor spread the ball around nicely.

Next week is the type of game where Bo hasn't been able to get over the hurdle.

Okay you did it. I have to reply. Did we see improvements or was it the competition?

Like I said in a post somewhere earlier.

Tonight is going to be fun to watch (It was) but it won't tell us anything.

I will change that though. It did tell me something. Seeing Kellogg and Armstrong out there told me Kellogg can not lead this team and Armstrong is going to be the best thing that has happened to this team in a long time.

Oh, one other thing I learned. Ameer, Newby and Cross. two men and a truck.

Problem is they will now think they are good team and think they can just show up next week and win cause they are at home, be flat and get in tough one again next week vs very good team

I needed to see Pelini shove a flag down that fucking ref's throat after the roughing the defender :L call.

Didn't see that

I think there was improvements. Now, whether it was the competition or not, well I dunno. Communications looked better. But was that because there was better communication, or a lack of motion and confusing sets? Tackling looked better, but was that better tackling or talent that is inferior to Wyoming's? We can never be sure. I think bad tackling shows regardless of who is on the field, so that could be considered "improved."
Over all, I felt better about the defense. I thought they looked better. I would bet that if the defense would have played the way they played this week, last weeks game would have been vastly different.

Looked impressive against a team that hasn't won since Moby Dick was a minnow.

That said, I have hope for next game.

we looked good....but we beat a team that has lost 14 straight...common now. Don't drink the Koo-laid, you're only setting yourself up for failure when UCLA hangs 40+ on us next week.

Exactly

Lets be honest this was a nice game for players to play in ESP back ups

But we didn't learn anything

The defense did improve In the turnover dept but we say that was issue last week for usm

It was a nice feel good game but we shall see next how much they really improve
