This is definitely the wrong draft for a team like the Jets, I'll give you that. Just because they've proven to be terrible at scouting or developing doesn't mean that young QB is a lost cause, though.

I'm also not convinced that Kaepernick is a stabilizing force. He is more of a stop-gap to groom a replacement imo

sure, I am not saying he would be the long term... But the jets need game changers... and maybe kaepernick can be one... and if he is not, then the team sucks and gets another high pick... its a win win...

I could see a scenario with him and Hackenberg dueling it out and maybe the bring in Hackenberg at the end of the year. Hackenberg was always a massive project so I can't imagine anything NFL quality coming from him until 2018.
