I’m not an expert whatsoever but it seems the Orioles problem is the same but opposite of the Mariners. It seems like both of their windows would be bigger and longer had they just worked together on trades. They had a plethora of position playing prospects they could’ve dealt for the Mariners plethora of pitching prospects.See how the Orioles have struggled this year, this really got me wondering. Is the window for success really that tiny? Especially if you're a team outside some of the giant markets? The Orioles, since 2022 had been on the upswing and this year they have surprisingly collapsed.... back to their 2018-2021 form.
