I'm over here saying I want him fired and he's talking to me like I'm oblivious and happy with 9-10 wins every year. No one here is happy. Almost all of us want him gone, go look at our board there is no one who wants to keep him. Not one person. If we keep getting blown out in big games it may be justifiable to fire him after a 9 win season. I said this already.

Not quite. I said the DECISIONMAKERS are getting happy and comfortable with mediocrity as long as they keep him.

The smart fans wanted him fired 2 years ago, much like the smarter Texas fans wanted Mack gone. However, Texas has bigger problems, as they will need a new AD, and new coaches in all 3 major sports.

There are going to be a LOT of checks cashed in the offseason.......especially for good coaches that Texas/USC choose to interview, whether those dudes get hired or not.

Why shouldn't Texas try to steal Brian Kelly from Notre Dame? He'd cost a lot of money but that isn't a problem for UT.

1. He is used to dealing with fanatical alums.
2. He has a good record in the profession.
3. He has a good personality.
4. He has head coaching experience.
5. With UT's built-in advantages, he could be another Nick Saban type of coach winning a HUGE amount of games at Texas.

I approve this message. I would love to see Fitzgerald come and call Narduzzi and ask him to be the DC

Pat Fitzgerald would be good, but would he leave his alma mater?

Texas can have anyone they want they have more money then the US Government. At least that's what I'm told by the Texas posters so it has to be true.

Saban isn't leaving Bama, no need to, he's a freakin' god in that state and has a dynasty out there. Not to mention, I'm not quite sure how he would fare in the Big 12. SEC coaches tend to fail miserably in the Big 12, but dominate in the SEC. He would be stressed out of his mind having to prepare for all of those no huddle, explosive offenses week in and week out.

As an alum, I would like to see Texas hire any of the following:

1. Gary Patterson
2. Jon Gruden
3. Pat Fitzgerald
4. Bill Cowher
5. David Shaw
6. Art Briles

Fitz is number one on my want list but I don't see him being comfortable with staying in division and destroying his former school every year.

I'd be shocked of Fitzgerald goes anywhere. He's turned down schools already, he's just now starting to get his alma mater to national relevance.

I don't think that a big time program has come calling. Northwestern has a ceiling. It will be interesting to see if he is happy looking up in the standings or wants that shot at glory. Nothing wrong with either choice. I would wait. Guys like Freeze and Golden may shoot to the top

You might be on to something. The guy has job security for the next 30 years and really doesn't have to produce that much for school officials to be satisfied. If it were me I would stay.

Nebraska may want to look at Strong in a serious way, but they never seem to go after the big fish. That's why I'm think they will go after an up and coming coordinator.

I don't know it's been mentioned but UT fans should take a shot at the Dallas Cowboys OC, he would be quite a catch

If it's on the Internet it must be true.

Schools bigger than Nebraska? I'll have to check that one out.
