Aspen police arrested Barroway at approximately 9:35 a.m. at the Limelight Aspen on Monarch Street, according to police records. He is under a court order that prohibits from having any contact with his wife, except when it involves their children. Barroway also cannot consume alcohol, per the court order.

It has the history of the other three major sports, but I seem to recall a SI cover in either 1993 or 1994 that read "Why the NHL is hot and the NBA is not". Fast forward to 2023 and the NBA has far surpassed the NHL in terms of revenue and global reach.

A few weeks ago I was skipping through a real-time "How 9/11 played out" video and most of the talk that morning before those assholes started assholing was about Jordan's comeback and one point they were making was how the comeback "delays the NBA's ability to figure out what comes after Jordan and how to rebuild their brand". It's hard to imagine now but in the early 2000's there was definitely a lull in the game, the Lakers were really the only truly entertaining team, Vince was electric but also played in timbuktu for an incredibly shittily-run franchise and we were still a few years away from Lebron coming in and changing everything. There was a panic in the NBA's halls.

Funny to think about that now.
