My college rink was literally outdoors, no cover. In Boston, it was cold enough most of the season. But, at least we had a real locker room inside with real walls and real showers.

They did eventually build a real indoor rink.

50 years later, treating a pro team like pond hockey players is shameful.

Or like a ECHL team... which is what that arena looks like to me - a home for an ECHL franchise. I go to a lot of Allen (Texas) American games and that was the first place that came to mind when I saw this joint. Might have nicer seats in AZ but the size & scope screamed Allen to me.

By the way - those suites are pretty sweet. Just sanin'

The Coyotes ECHL team in Gwinnett (suburb of Atlanta) plays in the Gas South Arena with a seating capacity of 13,000. Not quite NHL standards as far as capacity is concerned, but it seems to be a pretty swanky arena otherwise. Just incredible that a NHL team not only is playing in a dinky arena, but it's also submitting other teams coming in to these types of conditions.
