Just heard this described as "the end to a difficult situation".

No. The only difference is that now the difficult situation is someone else's problem.

15 year lease? Team folds in less than five, I'd bet.

Which the league wants. So they can get expansion fees out of Vegas or Milwaukee. Or Quebec.

Coyotes sale closes. Happy for hockey fans in Arizona, but this still feels like the relaxing-in-the-canoe part of Friday The 13th.

I think the new owners have an out clause in five years if the team losses exceed 50 million in that time. The way things have been going in Glendale, that's practically a guarantee that they will be excersizing that out clause.

Update: Last in average attendance with 13,152 (and that's with a team likely to be in the playoffs)

/Also wonder how many tickets are still giveaways.

I wonder with that new Tim Hortons that debuted in that arena a week ago, if more people will come there

about 5 years back i went to a pre christmas get together and a guy was there who was playing drums for Loverboy at that time (regular drummer had some sort of health problem) and he had just come back from playing at some kind of national Nurses convention in the states. The dude was in his late 20's and he kept talking about how much tail he got that weekend :noidea:

Yeah, them too. Triumph, Streetheart, Red Rider and April Wine want in as well.

Im thinking 42 nights of canadafest with this amazing lineup may sell more tickets that the Coyotes in Glendale ... they might be on to something

Glendale should just secede from Arizona and have Canada annex it.

I think it's kinda ironic (Alanis Morrisette) that former Glendale councillor Joyce Clark was calling out Canadian poachers for trying to take the team out of Glendale when a) Canadian businessmen have bought the team and have kept it in Glendale and b) Canadian rock acts are playing at Jobing.com to generate revenue for the Coyotes.
