I heard a differnt take or something close to it today. For the first time in I thought 19 years this was the 1st time a Canadien team was not in the playoffs after round 1.

Frankly I think that is pretty wild. You have 5 teams (correct?) and at least one of them is past round 1 every year..Thats pretty great in my mind.

It should be mentioned that a different Canadian based team made the finals in 2004, 2006, 2007, and 2011. That said, collectively, there's a ton of room for improvement.
