That tag he put on Span in game 4 was a thing of beauty. FS1 immediate played a package of his tags from the season.

Dude is a beast. Pure and simple.

Without a doubt, he has the best tag I have ever seen. Nothing else even comes close.

Dude is a beast. Pure and simple.

He could draw a walk here and there, but he has done a good job cutting down on K's. His K% was over 40% in his rookie year (he was only 21 at the time) and he's brought it down to a reasonable 24%. His defense has been the real surprise though.

I have been watching baseball since the mid-80s, and I never really thought about the art of the tag. I dont remember anyone being particularly good or bad at it.

This dude has introduced a whole new skillset into the game.

You didn't think about it in the past, either the ball was there or it wasn't.

Every tag looked the same.

With Baez, if the ball is within his reach, from catching the ball to applying the tag is the fastest I have ever seen.
