Santana had a great game (2 R over 8 innings). It's not his fault the Twins were helpless against Zito.

He was very good after he settled down. But I'd hardly call it a gem.

Moore was basically unhittable tonight and had the lead. You don't pull a guy with 120 because he might get hurt.

I've watched guys get hurt on a low pitch count early in seasons. It happens.

Unless you have a great closer. By all means 120, hit the showers.

How many 3-run leads have ever been blown in the 9th inning in the postseason? It's a shitty bullpen, but even then, the odds are in their favor.

Bochy got way too cute with his bullpen management. Should have just left Law in there.

Even Joe Maddon I've stopped hating after he left the AL East. He's a pretty fun dude.

Good win by the Cubs here. 4 days to set up the rotation. If the Nats win game 5 Max,will be burnt til at least game 2 but maybe 3. That sets up nice for them in that instance. If the Dodgers win Kershaw, should,be able to go game 1 but it'd be 2 straight starts on short rest so I'm guessing they wouldn't do that. Either way the extra 2 days helps the Cubs a lot

And we're on to game 5.

Cubs are chokers.

Hands are squarely wrapped around their neck.

Mediocre and bad hitters are beating them.

They deserve this meltdown.

And the Cubs are officially done.

To shitty hitters.

And now it's 3.

yes they do.

Red Sox Compensation Saga for Theo Epstein Proves Bud Selig, MLB Need to Fix Process

The Cubs lack of integrity for this...another 100 years isn't enough.

Biggest 2-0 choke job ever.

It's not even close.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I just got home and read through this thread. I got to say, this moron made this thread even more enjoyable than I thought it would be. Where did he go? Did he go to sleep? Because I hope he still doesn't expect game 5. I guess the Cubs are still chokers too? At least not in the NLDS.

Tough game Giants fans. It's a rough way to get eliminated like that.

They said on air. Only once before. Exactly three runs is the largest ninth inning blown lead in MLB playoff history.

T
Go on...those baskets are so far down the wall the only other use other than capturing a fair ball for a HR is to catch the occasional drunkard from falling on the field.
he wall there was only made taller in the last couple of years. Those baskets have been there since before I was born. Wrigley walls* at the basket are deep and tall... more than modern ballparks. You're all wet in this issue.

Yeah. It was such a boring and weakly contested series. /sarcasm
