Also, to get msg's thread back on track (and add a little to it), here are my predictions:


ALDS:
Rays over Rangers in 4

Yankees over Twins in 4

NLDS:
Phils over Reds in 3

Giants over Braves in 5

ACTUAL:

Rangers over Rays in 5
Yankees over Twins in 3

Phils over Reds in 3
Giants over Braves in 4

Got 3 of the teams right, but only one of the teams and series games right.

Parallels with the 54' Giants. I was thinking about this series last night, and thought a Giants sweep could be in play. Starting with a double-digit annihilation in game one - like 12-1.

Tampa-Cincinnati.... purists would like it - lots of young talent going to be disgorged from those teams in a few years. But, yeah, total yawn fest for most everyone else.

Yep. In fact, history would be served as long as the Rangers don't make it. There's recent history with Phils/Yankees and longstanding history with Giants/Yankees.

At the beginning of the year, I said Yanks over Phils in 6, so I guess if I stick with that WS prediction, then Yanks in 5 and Phils in 6. However, I do like the Giants' chances, and welcome being wrong. For the record, I've got Jets over Vikings, 31-27 (shaky at best). Sharks over Caps in 6 (homer). And Lakers over Heat in 6 (as much as it pains me). And Chelsea taking the Premiership and Champions Leauge! One man went to mow a meadow...

The safety phrase is "Giants in 7." There I was able to keep track of the current topic and the topic we should be talking about. hahaha
