Hats off to the Mets, they knew they couldn't hit Clayton's curve so they swung at every fast ball that came their way. Nice strategy to swing at the first pitch a lot too.

Dodgers simply could not capitalize on offense, again. Baez could not paint the black on Wright.

Funny to see all the Kershaw hate, guess I know how LBJ fans feel now to have an amazing player get crucified every time his team loses. It's especially ridiculous here in a sport that's much more team-oriented. Hard to believe Kershaw had the hardest hit ball on DeGrom all night, another foot on that flyout and it's a 3 run homer.

Ah well, tomorrow is another game. Congrats to the Mets and their fans on winning Game 1.

Speaking only for myself, I don't hate Kershaw at all. I think he'd be a far more fulfilled human being if he drifted north and donned the black and orange.

Jacob DeGrom on the road against NLW opponents this season including tonight:
4 starts
30 innings
14 hits
2ER(3R)
41 strikeouts

The Padres were the only team in the 4 games who he didn't strike out 10+ times, victory!

These Mets have a bit of 2010 Giants about them...outstanding, deep, young starting staff, just enough offense, good D, good pen...

He's just annoying as all fuck. The douchey looking white dude in the middle.
That was Eric Byrnes.

He played for the As, DBacks, Rox, Os and Ms. But he is a HUGE Giants fan. I am not familiar with any other former player "analysts" who never played for a team they totally nob-polish for.

He grew up a major Giants fan, but that is still kinda weird.

Not every time his team loses, just when he loses and he's had some seriously shitty outings and done some serious losing when it counts the most. In the postseason.

Breaking down Clayton Kershaw's awful postseason record | Rumors and Rants

Yes because I was clearly implying that the blame falls on Kershaw even in games he doesn't play, lol. He's gotten 8 runs of support in his last 29 1/3 innings in the postseason, but hey Kershaw couldn't manage to hit that 3-run homer and pitch a CGSO so he's a terrible postseason pitcher.
