Luckily the Mets have a deep bench. They replaced the pussy that had to leave the game with the guy that cried when he thought he was traded

At least he's useful in the post season. Maybe that other stiff JRol will get in this game.

I guess they gave Rollins the night off. It was just like old times watching Utley break up the double play. I wish I could have seen Rollins pop one up and jog down the first base line....

Couldn't Utley have been called out for interference since he never got the bag?

IMO Utley should have been called out for interference and according to the rule the batter as well
Should have been a DP

Utley with the base hit and also hit on Tejada - 2 hits

That's a good month for Utley nowadays

dang watching Utley and Rollins mediocre their way to the end of their careers is like watching Ali when he was trying to light the Olympic bonfire - just depressing

It's always been an accepted practice of taking the 2nd basemen out to avoid the DP. I've seen several players called out in the past but they went even further out of the baseline than Utley in disrupting the DP. The umps are liberal on this type of play, I guess.

On the contrary, I'd like to see JStroll, Utley, Hamels, and Revere all do well in the post season. Go Phillies!

Wow, this Mets-Dodgers game is exciting. 3-1 Dodgers in the 2nd; Mets have them loaded with no outs.

D'arnoud a 2-run homer. Mets 6-3. Mets and Cubs are shaking up the old guard Cards and Dodgers with their youth movement.

Didn't we trade D'Arnaud for that stiff Halladay?

Yep, along with Kyle Drabek (TOR, then CHW) and Michael Taylor (WSH), both of whom stink up the parks. I remember thinking Drabek (5.27) would be the second coming for the Phils years ago.

What idiot thinks trading Giles is a good thing?

I mentioned it somewhat facetiously after seeing speculative reports from various "analysts". The more I see these younger teams popping homers regularly, the more I get to feeling the Phils lineup is nowhere near those levels. But we have to at least see how 2016 turns out. If we make great progress, no way they should trade him.

Well, Mets have the game in the bag at 10-3. Probably time to hit the rack. By the way, anyone here watch Late Night with Steven Colbert? Fantastic political satire very night.
