He did however... But on the replay it looked safe.. I guess NY was thinking they couldn't "conclusively" see Gonzalez's fingertips touching the plate before the tag

This reminds me of a Wisconsin/Arizona St game where they said the guy didn't get a foot down on a catch but you say those black pellets flying all over the place. Like, there's literally no point in having replay if you're gonna miss one like that. That was a layup.
