absolutely no chance either guy is gone

Really? Hey was the biggest letdown this year. Unless he changes his swing or something there's no reason to keep him and his low BA.

Some could argue that its his first year as a Cub... but I would say thats a BS Excuse he was really good at the Cardinals... who knows maybe he will be good next season.

Well Rizzo didn't do too bad during the Regular Season but yeah right now its bad. I won't be surprised if Russell is gone either.

Not sure if it's a mental thing for Rizz but he's a borderline MVP player in the reg season. Russ and Hey are expendable. Batting .230 something doesn't cut it for this team.

People were Overrating Russell so much after his rookie season... dude wasn't even too good in his rookie season. But that's just my opinion, I could totally see him (Russ) going to another team this offseason.

He can't hit the fastball and he'll have to change his swing to adjust. He has hit very well in the clutch though.

Yeah there were very easy hit pitches thrown at him tonight and he just let em go by. Cubs fans weren't too happy at him for that.

Well then then they drastically overpaid for him. There must not be very many good young SS then.

Black people bleach their skin to become whiter now days.

Now days? Have you heard of Michael Jackson, who start doing it in the 80's? That's old stuff, black people don't do that anymore.

Oh shit, nevermind, Sammy Sosa say's hi.

This is cray cray. It could just be the angle of the sun in cali.

Many of the black celebs doing it especially female singers. Michael Jackson did it obviously. They think being lighter will make them more beautiful or more accepted.

hahahah, I'm just seeing how it's more popular now than in MJ's time. Sosa just looks gross now. It just looks very weird on him. It literally makes me laugh but sad at the same time since I use to love the guy (no homo).

3 gifts strikes, 3 bad balls.

He was more accurate for Kershaw, but not by a lot.

Wins like these are great but the Dodgers need to win when guys who aren't named Kershaw or Jansen are on the mound for them if they want to make it to the WS.

Russell had a 97 OPS+ at SS as a 22-year-old along with GG caliber defense. The Cubs would be insane to trade him. He's easily one of the best young shortstops in the game. He might already be better than Castro ever was in Chicago.

Send him to Boston to make up for the Theo robbery.

Bogey plays 3B.

Panda mysterious disappears.

Fine by me. Russell showed a lot of other improvements this year (i.e. cutting down his K% from 28.5 to 22.6% and his ISO jumping from .147 to .179). I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being one of the better offensive shortstops in baseball next year.

Hopefully this will start to put an end to the Kershaw trope and people can start appreciating his dominance. The guy currently has the best career ERA+ among all starting pitchers (only Rivera has a better ERA+, and he was a reliever). He's pretty freaking good.

Now it's time to save that all that vitriol for David Price.
