Let's hope that Torres has finally snapped out of it. And no more getting thrown out. Isn't he supposed to be faster minus the appendix? :D

Let's hope for more good than bad out of the Panda.

Good thing about Panda in the lineup is he might be swinging at strikes this game, since Doc is always around the plate. That swing last night was vintage 09' Panda. Just keep it up, Pablo.

The issue I see tonight is that once you get past the six spot, you've got three guys who are not going to see very many pitches. And I loves me some phil bullpen.

True that. Hopefully, Panda and Uribe can run into one. Also, I think the Phillies would throw Doc for 130 pitches if they had to, anyway.

True...which makes patience at the plate a HUGE deal tonight.

As someone mentioned, Doc's always around the strike zone, so they can't be too patient. I'm hopin' they can jump on some of those strikes and put some runs on the board.

BTW, where do you get these awesome avatars? :)

This is why step needs to get on this board. He always has a calming influence amid emotional turmoil. I guess he would say something like:

"The time is near friend
Do not fear failure tonight
Raptor Jesus Saves"

Okay, I took a little liberty with the last stanza. Let's Go Giants! And while I'm at it Let's Go Ducks! (sorry, gp, that is, if your avatar represents more than just a hot cheerleader).

Nevermind. This is what step says:

"Have you ever been to a party where you had so much fun you forgot time and then as it died down a little, someone said, 'Boy, are we having fun?' That's wen you knew the party was over.

It's a Zen thing - when you practice archery, you become the arrow. There is no time to think you are the archer. You lose yourself in the moment. Scientists call it 'flow.'

This is no time to reflect. You need to just play the game.

Forget your analysis, your stats and your numbers."

Also, every time I see gp's avatar I just assume it's a UCLA cheerleader. I looked a little closer, and I think it's just a regular, old hot chick. Anyway, FUCLA! And Go Giants! I must be nervous, too. What a rambler, and I've got a softball game to get to later.

Oh yeah. I used to have a number for a guy that would pick me up pretty quickly, but he stopped answering my calls. :(. I guess I am an asshole when I'm drunk.

Three up...three down.

Yeah, buddy. Timmy doesn't look as good as his first two outings, but I'm always amazed how he can get stronger as the game goes on. As usual, the change-up looks lights out, but he's gonna need to place that fastball better.
