Cardinals can finish off the Dodgers tonight, and I hope they do.

I grew up in Cardinal country even though I have lived in Boston for 40 years now.

It will be Clayton Kershaw making his 6th career posts-season start for the Dodgers,
while Michael Wacha makes his 3d career post-season start for the Redbirds.

Wacha has a very impressive 0.643 WHIP in his 14 post-season innings to date.

Kershaw's 1.078 in 13 innings is impressive too, at least by regular season standards.
A bit short of Wacha's, however. And this is not the regular season.

That doesn't guarantee a St Louis win, of course, but it should make them the betting favorites, shouldn't it?

A 643.0 WHIP is bad.

So is counting on a rookie to save your season, after the Dodgers have had a good look at him, and, have I am sure discovered his tendencies. I am in no way saying the Dodgers will win. I am just saying that many rookies have an easy time with teams the first time around, teams adapt.

Messed up my thread title and didn't notice it until just now.

The time allowed for editing is up, so I'll just have to live with it.

GO CARDINALS!

You misread it, navamind.

It's 0.643, with a decimal point.

Over 1.0 is mediocre, over 1,3 is BAD, under 0.7 is very good.

No Hanley today but he really hasn't been himself since the injury so there's nothing much I can say. Punto is probably a better option, I expect to see Hanley in a PH role.

I have a bit of perfectionist in my make-up. Which makes it difficult to just let mistakes go.

I can relax after a few minutes, but when I first spot a mistake it's noticeably more difficult for me.

Some potato chips and something cold to drink are all I need to enjoy a game actually underway.

Alcohol not needed at all and the feeling it gives me is not enjoyable. I prefer sobriety.

Yeah, I can't wait either. Having a couple of friends over, cooking a brisket in my smoker and will be liquored up by gametime!!

Seeing a USC/ND game at Notre Dame Stadium is definitely on my bucket list!!

Have to go in to work for a couple of hours in the morning, or like you, I'd be getting my drunk on tonight and staying that way!!

It looked to me that the Dodger player beat the throw to 1st on that double play.

Since the call favored the team I'm rooting for, I won't complain, but will understand if Dodger fans are feeling tickedoff right now.

That USC fight song is annoying as hell ... a very close second to Michigan's ... try this one out for size, it's MUCH BETTER ... gives me a big time woooody!
