Hell of a game. Dodgers put pressure on em all game. Cards power arms just got the big outs. This series looking to be a classic.

Should always like your chances with Kershaw, but Wacha is also throwing. Should be another doozy.

Even though technically it would be the cards holding serve, tomorrow is must win for Dodgers with Wainwright lurking.

Wow! I've been up since 6 a.m., yet I don't think I can go to bed just yet! That game was everything I expected and more- so much grit and intensity from both teams!

Kelly had the Cardinals fanbase just as jittery as he was in the early going, but he acquitted himself quite well in the later innings. But I never would have guessed the game winner would be Lance Lynn- I would've thought anyone would be crazy for even suggesting that. Again, we have Mr. October to thank, not just for timely hitting, but also for that strike thrown from the outfield.

To me this game was the question mark and a must-win for the home team in my opinion- I expected Grienke to be on top of his game. Kelly has good stuff, but I thought he might struggle in early innings, and I just hoped he'd do as little damage as possible, which was exactly what he did. Wacha benefits from two phenomenal outings and from facing the Dodgers for the first time. Meanwhile, members of the Cardinals not named Carlos Beltran need to relax a bit when they face Clayton Kershaw. Grienke pitched well without a doubt, but most of the night, the Cardinals were trying way too hard tonight at the plate.

This game was every bit as intense and exciting as I anticipated- and I expect the rest of the series to be more of the same!

I remember when Beltran was up and thinking that the game was over. I probably gave my wooooo at the bar about a second before everyone else figured out what was going on.

Fucking awesome game. The Cardinals are a great organization regardless of what happens with the rest of the season

I sure hope Jon Jay has a short memory and can put this game behind him. It was not one of his better efforts.

Other than that, what an awesome game. Good pitching, good defense, timely hitting. Congrats to both teams.
