I'd be closer to 50% chance. We'll be fighting it out with either the Rockies or the Dodgers for the last WC spot.

Myles, 50% sounds accurate to me since we are tied with the Dodgers for the 2nd wildcard spot.

With the Rockies at the Dodgers series starting tonight I would love to see either one of these teams sweeping the series to add 3 more loses to the loser. Meanwhile all we can do is continue to win as much as possible.

How about that effort that Waino gave us last night when we needed him the most? Even our terrible bullpen did their job in the 7th, 8th, and 9th innings for a change.

It is now down to 4 teams fighting for 3 spots.

Dodgers, Rocks, Cards, & Brewers.

Well more like 3 teams fighting for 2 spots. Got to believe the Brewers are safe. 3 games up on the Cards/Dodgers

1 team will miss out

Yes, the Brewers appear to be safely in the playoffs.

Avi bet bitch boy? Mets don't eliminate the Phillies from the playoffs this series.

Well, obviously, they can't eliminate them mathematically. I was talking more about a metaphorical dream-crushing. You know, snuffing out any remaining sparks of competitive fire, sort of thing.

But if it makes you feel any better, just go ahead and give me an avi to sport. I'll wear it anyway, just because we suck so much.

Why would you even throw a hitable pitch to Puig? He's batting like .465 with 7 HRs in the past 6 games. Rockies comparatively, are batting .177 as a team in the past 6 games. Puig has more RBI himself than the Rox during the past 6.

I noticed that Duff only comes in here to post negative things about the team he claims that he likes (Rockies). Havn't seem him come and post positives during their current 8 game win streak.

The Cardinals are who I thought they were. A .500 team. They were 1 game over .500 with Methaney and are 1 game under .500 since Shildt became permanent manager. They had a great August to give us fans and exciting end to the season. They have some good young players to build upon. Hopefully they can bring in a good bat or 2 and some defense. As a Cardinals fan for many years, they have never been bottom of the league in defense like this.

Cardinals losing yesterday made the picture a little more clear. We pretty well know who the teams are, but the NL Central and NL West are still up for grabs.

I'm all for a Cubs-Dodgers WC game.
