I know you'd rather sweep this embarrassing fiasco under the rug, but 50 million; 50! To three guys who can't even pitch. The absurdity of it is almost to much to believe. No wonder they refused to sign Lester or go after Price, Hamels or Cueto. Paying the three dead bodies not to pitch this year shows an embarrassing lack of business acumen.

I care a little bit about that, sure, but what can be done about it? They made some good moves, but some of the stuff they counted on didn't happen, like Cain pitching well. And they got hit with a lot of injuries, which isn't any kind of excuse, injuries matter. You stay healthy you have a better shot than when you don't. Cards get a lot of respect for staying strong with all theirs.

I was teasing the biggest doosh ever on this site about how no one cares about his opinions, which is a plain fact.

And one more thing, and this might violate your rules in the last sentence, but as a fan there really is a different feeling in a year like this one, following 3 rings in 5 years. It really isn't as urgent or desperate to win, so when we fell short it was a little sad but not really a big deal. It feels very different when you are hungry to finally get one. That's how it felt in 2002, and the years after....but now, oh well. We have a good and well-run team and we will surely contend in 2016. Now I'm hoping the Mets play the Blue Jays or Astros in the WS.
