Do you care about your team missing the playoffs this season?

See if you can answer intelligently without using the word "dynasty" or comparing the mighty Giants to the lowly Padres.

Organizational philosophy that is proven to win.

Clear leadership from the top down.

Shows a willingness to spend money if need be

entire team that "plays the right way", hits cutoff men, 1st to 3rd, productive outs, plate discipline...
"The Giants are cheapskates!"

"The Giants spend too much money!"

"The Giants should have signed that FA to a ridiculous contract, we need to win!"

"The Giants should not have signed that FA to that ridiculous contract!"

Mic has been dropped.

You're about to be eliminated.

And I'm ok with that. This team is heading in a direction I like with a focused plan that seems reasonable with coaches and players all on the same page. The FO has drafted well, the coaches in the minors have done a great job deconstructing and reconstructing batting swings or pitching deliveries, and the players have taken advantage of it.

We have one of the best defensive AND offensive infields in baseball:
Duffy (24)
Panik (24)
Belt (27)
Crawford (27)
Posey (28)

We have a bonafide #1 and he is already a legend at 25 yrs old.

We have a strong bullpen with some dominant up and coming arms.

We have one of the most balanced offenses in baseball when healthy.

Our minor league system just continues to pump out contributing members of our ML team every year, with both Duffy and Heston having been in the ROY conversation.

If we can re-sign Leake and get another big arm to come out to SF, this team can be dominant for awhile.

I think you're confused again (shocking really). I care about the Giants, but no one here cares what you have to say about them. That's just plain truth.
Another childish tantrum. Its just baseball and our team screwed the pooch badly going from WS champ to also ran, not even in the playoffs for a third straight time.

Bullshit. Tthe team is completely devoid of pitching outside of Bumgarner. They went to long with the rotting corpses of Lincecum. Cain and Peavey and they paid them 50 million to sit their and rot. The team has been destroyed; no starting pitching and no bullpen. We do agree, however, that they have an excellent young infield but that goes to waste with substandard outfielders and no pitching.

Is Pence sub-standard? Is Blanco sub-standard? Is Aoki substandard? Is Byrd sub-standard? What IS your standard?

Are you now bitching about the team spending money after bitching about how they DIDN'T spend money?!?

Our bullpen has quite a few arms that look VERY promising. Strickland and Osich are kicking ass and Kontos and Lopez have ERAs under 2.

MadBum, Leake, and Heston is a solid 3/5 of the rotation. I have no idea what the fuck you are talking about. And frankly, I don't think you have any idea what the fuck you are talking about either.

I don't why you're trying here. Your audience is an avowed Giants hater in Hammer, a probable felon in the Dodgers fan and a guy who claims to be a Giants fan, but clearly knows nothing about the team. Nothing you say will ever change their minds.

Pence, no. Blanco, yes. Aoki is unsigned, Byrd is unsigned and Pagan is an absolute joke. Madbum is solid, Leake is unsigned and Heston has shown that he can't even make it through August without having to go to the minors for a rest. The back of the bullpen with Romo, and, especially Casilla, is very suspect.
I'm not bitching about them spending money, I'm bitching about them wasting money foolishly on washed up hacks like Peavey, Cain and Lincecum which prevented them from spending it on some good pitching.

I was just waiting for "Peavy is such a stud."

Dodgers Magic # is now down 15.

And you know @HammerDown you get the feeling that Jake Peavy isn't pitching against left handers, he isn't pitching against pinch hitters, he isn't pitching against the Padres. He's pitching against time. He's pitching against the future, against age, and even when you think about his career, against ending. And tonight I think he might be able to use that aching old arm one more time to push the sun back up in the sky and give us one more day of summer.

After getting shellacked by the Dbacks while the Giants beat the Padres, the Dodgers lost ground in the division standings for the first time since August 21.

The Giants have been playing the shittiest game of Simon Says with the Dodgers for far too long.

The Padres were so close to ending the yearly no hitter streak to the Giants, but MadBum had to ruin that.:burt:
