Remember when Steve Sax couldn't throw the ball to first base? Man, that was strange.

Still one of the weirdest things I've seen. He was like a golfer with the "yips".

Just came out of nowhere too. Had never had an issue before that.

Giants dumped almost their whole Bull Pen ridding themselves of the scourge that was Melancon and trading Pomeranz, Black and Dyson as well. Strange thinking.

Dumped the entire bullpen and just left the dregs of Smith, Watson and Moronta. Oh what will they possible do...

Getting Gennett from the Reds reminds me of when the Giants picked up Marco Scutaro and he helped lead the Giants to the post season.

Johnny Cueto (elbow) will face live hitters Wednesday for the first time since undergoing Tommy John surgery last August.
There is talk of Cueto beginning a minor league rehab assignment early next month and possibly joining the Giants in September, but the veteran right-hander still has some hurdles to clear and him pitching meaningful games in 2019 is probably not something to count on. If he runs into any sort of setbacks, the Giants won't push it. Then again, they've suddenly made themselves real contenders in the NL Wild Card race, and Cueto could help in some capacity if he's near full strength.

Good news hopefully for next year when Bumgarner leaves. Perhaps Cueto can pick up some of the load.

Didn't that catcher Saltalamacchia go through a spell where he couldn't throw the ball back to the pitcher properly?

Yeah, I remember a catcher having that issue for a time. Can't remember the name, so you may be right on who it was.

Shame about Panik getting dumped by the Giants; such a promising start to his career but basically worthless the last two seasons. Gennett should be a big improvement.

There is something structurally wrong with your team if Brandon Belt is your leadoff hitter.

Yep, it was Salty. Opposing baserunners ran all over Salty, though I'd say the pitching staff played a role in that as well.

Your team gives up 11 walks and still wins? How often does that happen.
