Unreal win today, what a streak this team is on.

Now we are just 2 games out of the last WC spot, with the Cubbies playing later. So go Brewers!

Johnny Q goes 5 again and doesn't give up a run. My favorite Giant.

Nice little run in the middle of the season and a couple of feel good stories in Solano and Yaztrzemski but, my goodness, there is not a single young player that the team can build around. Some aging veterans hanging on like Posey and Crawford but the team is devoid of young talent and I think is facing at least a decade of mediocrity. They'll have to build through the draft since free agents are disgusted by the city of San Francisco and California taxes and won't come here.

Bumgarner still has value but not to the Giants. Bumgarner, a slightly above average pitcher in the regular season, only becomes a stud in the post season. So a team like the Giants, with no chance for the playoffs, has no reason to sign Bumgarner.

LOL! Are we supposed to be excited by this?

The San Francisco Giants announced today that they have signed right-handed pitcher Kevin Gausman to a one-year contract for 2020 worth $9 million. Gausman can make up to an additional $1 million in performance bonuses: $250,000 each for 18, 22, 26 and 30 games started as a pitcher.

Gausman, 29, split last season with the Braves and Reds combining for a 3-9 record and a 5.72 ERA in 31 games (17 starts). He began the season with Atlanta, going 3-7 with a 6.19 ERA in 16 starts before being claimed by the Reds in August and going 0-2 with a 4.03 ERA in 15 games (one start).
