Why is it a dumb thing to say? I have been a dodger fan since 1958 and you don't see me talking about the past dodger teams of 1959, 1963, 1965, 1981 and 1988. I guess it's just me, but I don't like to dwell on the past, I like to live in the present.

No. Its getting much better. A team of castoffs and has-beens has won 17 of their last 20 and climbed from last place to second place. Its pretty cool.
Im sure its cool watching them win but arnt second third place hovering around .500?
Doesn't matter the record; once you are in, its anybody's ballgame. The Giants are now, because of this streak, between a rock and a hard place with the trading deadline. Do they hang on to their players and hope to get into the playoffs or give up and try to stockpile some young guys by trading Bumgarner and/or Smith.
True once you're in no telling what can happen. There's like six teams in the mix right now for those two spots. Lots of baseball to play
