even with all those pennants no one was crowning them the 1927 yankees year in and year out....

no, but they won 100+ six times in eleven seasons. I do think the choker tag for the Braves is a bit unfair seeing as making it to the WS is pretty difficult (especially 5 times in a decade), but they're the epitome of a preseason favorite falling short. Not to mention some of those 100+ win teams got ousted in the NLDS.

Wouldn't be surprised if they go back to Harvey.

Allowing 15 runs in 2 starts when having a marquee game like Harvey sitting in the pen can make that move happen quicker than it probably should

two games is still a small sample size. besides, Vargas was an above average pitcher last year while Harvey hasn't been an above average pitcher since 2015. not that I think highly of Vargas (I think he overachieved a bit last year because of that fluky start), but it's two starts for a guy that missed almost all of April (and maybe ST?).

8 1/3 innings 20 hits, 15 runs, BUT only 5 homers.....Some solid work Joel, but not quite Ivy League now is it.....
