With the 55-60 games left that you mentioned it wouldn't surprise me to see first place change hands in this division several more times between the three top contenders before this season is over.

I'm not trying to pee in our cornflakes but we are a huge underdog at home tonight against Cole. I don't like this pitching matchup at all with Ponce starting for us but the way we have been playing lately we can beat anyone right now. GO RED BIRDS!

As I said in a post yesterday, I think first place in this division will change hands several more times among the top three contenders before this season is over. Yes, the Cardinals are hot right now but I think both the Cubs and Brewers will both have hot streaks too before the season ends.

As we Cardinal fans have witnessed, this team needs a starting pitcher. I would say ponce and Thomas for greinke, STL would have to take on most of his salary, which they can afford, although he is 35 years old....even Robbie Ray who is a swing and miss pitcher.

Well, like a good umpire I try to call um like I see um. I respect all of the teams that we play in this tough division even though I hope we beat all of them. Many said when the Cubs got Kimbrel they would start pulling away from the rest of the pack in this division but so far that hasn't happened.

We need a lot of things but sometimes our needs don't get filled.
