Reds aren't the only party that's had issues with the Pirates this year either. Donaldson got plunked by Musgrove and the benches cleared and Maddon was livid with the Pirates for throwing up and in and got ejected.

Not really thrilled with this trade. While Gyorko wasn't going to do a whole lot for the team this year, neither is what we got in return. I guess the positive is more minor league depth at pitching. Abreu may have some potential:
17-year old undrafted free agent out of the Dominican Republic in 2017, 6’4” 200-pound right-hander
The young man only has 17 games and 44 IP under his belt, which is of course, premature to make any judgments. So far this season, he has kept the ball in the park, has no walk issues yet and sports a 28.2% K rate. Abreu just started his age-19 season enter and is obviously years away.

I don't really understand how the international money works. I hope this doesn't hurt the Cards in the international market.
With respect to the international cap space, the Cardinals are not paying the Dodgers actual cash for that portion, but rather the right to spend cash in the international market that the Cardinals otherwise would have the right to spend. The exact details of the cash considerations and international cap space are unknown at this time

that was probably one of the best fights in baseball. The Cards/Reds fight was good, but there were some punches landing. Props to Garrett, he took on the whole team before he got help.

that said, MLB needs to look into how Clint Hurdle runs his team. Alot of hit batsmen.

Also, where was Detreicht(spelling). He is the guy that enjoys watching his home run and snail running the bases. I didn't see him backung up his team.

My across the street neighbor loves his Cubs as much as I love my Cardinals and we go at it all the time in a friendly way. He left today for a combined business and fun trip to Chicago with tickets in his back pocket to the entire Brewers series starting tomorrow.

I went to Wrigley for the first time 2 years ago. Other than being able to say I've been there, it did nothing for me. It's an old smelly stadium. I wasn't impressed.
