Well, one of the teams in this division is obviously going to take this thing but it remains to be seen if any team in this division is going to get hot.

I said before the season started that I thought just a few games over .500 might win this division and I haven't seen anything taking place yet that has changed my mind.

I like our start coming out of the all star break by winning two series in a row and winning the first game of the four game series at Cincinnati. A win tonight would be big since the Reds will be starting some good pitching against us on Saturday and Sunday.

Your Pirates had all kinds of opportunities to score today in the late innings but it just wasn't meant to be.

Goldy should be excited...playing one of the two teams that has provided him half his pathetic 44 RBI's. Take away the Pirates and Brewers, he's been horrific. He's a middle of the pack 1B who will be making $26 million a year thru 2024. 100 OPS+ says it all...

Cards get a 4 game series against a desperate Pirates team. They could essentially end the season for 2 teams in back to back series. The Reds are out and now the Pirates will be done if the Cards win 3/4. I'm guessing the Cards and Pirates split the series.
I wish Fowler would snap out of his 3 year funk. His 98 OPS+ this year sucks.

Dex isn't in a 3 year slump. His 2017 year was one of his career best. You do realize you can look this shit up?

It's interesting that the Cards don't have a backup for Coldy.

He's pretty much in line with his career averages this year.

Cards need to put him at leadoff. Move MCrap down to low end of the order. A reversal of what transpired in 2017 when MCrap saved the day at leadoff for the failure of Dex...

Hopefully, we will at least split the series against the Pirates in Pittsburgh with the Astros coming to St. Louis for a three game series this coming weekend. If the pitching rotations stay the same we should not have to face Verlander this coming weekend however.

We're 7-3 since the all star break so keep the faith my man!
