Burnes-Woodruff could be one of the best 1-2s in the league. I'm very interested to see how Peralta does

I agree. I think the NL Central will be close again just like it usually is.

I think everyone but the Pirates has a shot at winning the division. Cubs could have the best offense of the four IMO but their pitching depth looks very bleak.

Cardinals pitching has gotten rocked almost every game in division. I feel like that Colts coach hearing the word 'playoffs?!?' at the thought of this team winning the division.

You're right, the Cardinals pitching has sucked for the most part so far but we're not even half way through April yet. I don't think any NL Central team is going to run away with division.

6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 10 K's for Burnes. Only 81 pitches

30 K's and 0 walks, more RBIs than runs allowed

wow. I love Baez but I think that kind of money (granted there's no mention of years) seems rather risky given his plate discipline issues. 2018-19 Baez is a fantastic player I feel like you're more likely to get 2016-17 Baez (still a pretty good player)... or worse. He's currently rocking a 1:27 BB:K ratio... in 60 PA. He's also got a Z-Contact% of 61.8% right now.

Solid player, had a pretty nice run from 2010-17 hitting .273/.342/.439 (114 OPS+). Had some parallels to another player that just recently retired.... Jay Bruce. Both pretty much neck-in-neck in WAR, but most of Bruce's came in several years while Walker was more consistent. Walker's career OPS+ was 109, Bruce's 108. Walker was useless after 31, Bruce 30.

Mr McKInney the Brewer left fielder with the catch of the night in all the MBL saving a few earned runs for Mr Burnes. I am guessing it should make the top 10 plays of the day

At least Javy Baez doesn't have the highest K/BB ratio in the league (31/1)... that belongs to Corbin Burnes (40/1)

What a turn around for this kid.

I have to post this now because it has probably never happened before where the Brewers starting pitchers are ranked #1 in all of baseball so far

I am sure I just jinxed then though

Roughly 11 percent of the Major League Baseball regular season has been played so it's prudent not to turn small sample sizes into big, sweeping conclusions. And yet it's tough not to notice that the best starting rotation does not reside in Los Angeles or San Diego or Cleveland or any other place one might expect. Instead, that honor belongs to the Milwaukee Brewers' quintet, who have combined for a 1.99 ERA thus far en route to early supremacy in the National League Central.

As a Cardinals fan I said before the season started that I feared the Brewers more than any other team in the NL Central.
