My Gawd.....how many runs are the Pirate pitchers going to allow this series, 50?

They are abysmal.
I can't believe Clint Hurdle is still their manager.

This was a bad day for Carlos Martinez to have the flu because we sure needed him to start the 9th inning. I sure hope he gets well soon because I know we are going to need him several more times before this season is over with the schedule we have coming up.

I was sure hoping the Pirates would help us out with at least one win at Wrigley but they not only got swept, they got torched in all three games. Hopefully the Pirates can win one or two from the Cubs when they play again in Pittsburgh.

I really like Schildt but I sure didn't understand his thinking in the 9th inning today.

That was a tough loss to swallow after the got the two homers to take the lead. Bad time for CMart to get the flu.

After the Brewers the Cards get Washington, Arizona and the Cubs twice
Cubs get Cincy and Pitt plus the 2 Cards series'.
Brewers get Padres, Cincy, Pitt and Colorado.

This might go to the last day...or a day after....

The NL Central has been close all season so why should it be any different now? You're right, this division might not be decided until the last day . . . or the day after.

I agree, this was one of the toughest loses in a long time.

Concerning CMart, I'm wondering how strong he will be when he does come back since that nasty stuff will weaken Superman.

I did that playing college basketball. I was listed as day to day and I was out for half the season.

I'm not for anyone getting hurt but with all three of the top contenders in the NL Central having a stud out right now with Rizzo, Yelich, and CMart this might really get interesting going down to the wire.
