Yep. Huge Loss. Rizz is the Captain. His power has dipped some the past couple of years but he is the most consistent hitter the Cubs have. Caratini and Happ will have to fill in and step up.

Good night for all 3 teams considering they all picked up a game on Washington. If you win you are gaining on somebody or at least maintaining. . Cubs pen surprised me tonight as did the offense. 8 runs with the wind blowing in and facing a different arm every at bat it seemed. Cards won a game that Strasburg started. The Crew had an easy time it seemed with the Pads. Exciting baseball.

Today Wainwright vs Scherzer. Waino has been very good at home, and Scherzer can't be any worse than Corbin was last night. STL hitters would NOT lay off that slider in the dirt. One more thing, Shildt, no mkre John Gant, the dude can't throw strikes.

Rough night for the Cubbies. Darvish was pretty good but made some mistakes. Gray was better. Mahle vs Lester tonight. Looks like advantage Cubs, but not so fast. Suarez has been held in check for the most part. He is due for a big game.

Wainwright pitched great, Edmon threw a guy out at home from right field, he hit a homer off Scherzer, Fowler with robbery of a 3 run homet, and Weiter with a pin h hit two run homer.

Next, a trip to Wrigley field for 4 games, tomorrow..Flaherty vs Hendricks, should be a good one. For some reason, Hendricks has the STL batters' number.

Come on man, you can't lose confidence that quickly! We just won a series against the Nationals and we are heading to Wrigley with at least a two game lead no matter what the Cubs and Brewers do tonight.
