"Yes, we are preparing for Bosa," Tomlin said Tuesday. "It's prudent for us to assume that he is gonna be there and prepare in that vein, as opposed to be surprised. We were in a similar circumstance with a dynamic rusher a couple of years ago in T.J. We got a deal done at the 11th hour. He showed up in the stadium, and he was T.J. Watt that day. So that's what those guys do. They show up, and they are who they are."
Deal or no deal, you prepare like you're going up against the best of the best.Sounds like Steeler's head coach Mike Tomlin was right.
No doubt.Deal or no deal, you prepare like you're going up against the best of the best.
Means KC can forget about the $28 million they wanted Chris Jones to take$34m AAV.
#2 is TJ Watt at $28m AAV

Except I don't think Jones will see it that way lol. I think at 30, he knows this will be his last big bite at the apple. And I think he believes, and rightfully so IMO, no Chris Jones no Super Bowl for the Chiefs. I don't think he's taking $28 million per. But we'll seeJones is great, but he's also approaching 30. Yes like Bosa he transforms the defense but there's an age thing to also be concerned about. Bosa is only 25 - he may not even have hit his ceiling yet. Jones likely has and with age brings higher risk of injury/lack of motivation, etc.... and sorry - we'd all take Aaron Donald, TJ Watt, or Bosa over Jones in a landslide.

Chiefs do have the leverage but at the end of the day I dont really think its the end of the world if the Chiefs have to overpay Chris Jones for a year or two. As you say, this is his last payday outside of 1 year deals.Except I don't think Jones will see it that way lol. I think at 30, he knows this will be his last big bite at the apple. Just means we have to eat Arby's and outscore teams with Mahomes and the power of friendship.Means KC can forget about the $28 million they wanted Chris Jones to take

And we, the fans, will ultimately pay for it. Thanks, Nick.
Was only talkin about edge guysThe Donald extension was 3 years $95M so that $31.66 AAV was the price to beat previously. And you had Hill at $30M AAV too above Watt.
Ummm....LOLNick Bosa is probably the only defensive player in the NFL id want this big of a contract for. In that regards, its probably a bit like the Chiefs locking up Mahomes. Its a lot of money but you have the top guy.
Im looking at Brock Purdy's contract. Does he even have enough money to live in San Francisco?
