gotta say watching the game last night (game 3). if the devils made the playoffs i feel thats exactly how the games would've gone. great chances hit the pipe 3 times not scoring on the powerplay. 2x the defense gets caught zzzzzzzzzzzzz for breakaways theres your game. outshoot the other team 35-15 on top of it lol

Vignault's comments are a joke complaining about how the Rangers had to play 5 games in 7 games. Especially since they didnt even show up in Game 6 in Philly and most of Game 2 in PIT.

Plus maybe if the Rags could close out a series in less then 7 games they wouldn't have to have the NHL schedule their games so close together to keep up with other series.

Last I checked the Pens had to play on back to back nights too.

I agree, if the Rangers wanted rest they shouldn't have let the series against the Flyers go 7 games. I do think their schedule has worked to our advantage, but it's the Rangers' fault for having to play all these games close together. If they took care of the Flyers in game 6 then they would've been on the same footing as the Pens.

Regardless if there is validity to it, it just comes off as petty. I have the same reaction when people blame the refs. If you're good enough you overcome these things. Eventually everyone gets screwed one way or another, it all works itself out so no use complaining. Eventually you break even.

The problem I have with the comments is that the Rangers didnt look tired last night. They outshot PIT by 20 shots and hit post 3 times. They could've won the game. And if they did , Vigneault doesnt make those comments and all of the sudden the schedule doesnt seem so "stupid" , atleast not publicy.

He made comments after game 1 about how if Lundqvist isnt tired then no one should be tired. All of the sudden 2 losses later its a complete 180.

I thought I read somewhere that a liberty preseason game at 11am on Thursday was another reason for the condensed game. ither case it is funny tthough I didn't even think of how little miles or back to backs they played in this season. Another shutout tonight would be great. Wouldn't have to hear that goal song again all year

Also I don't think I've ever seen a power go this long without a goal. Usually youll see the stat 1-25 in the last 25pp. Not 0-34!

The main reason is because of MSG scheduling. Bottom line.

I can see the Rangers coming to play tonight however and winning. If they lose, doesn't look good for them.

The next excuse will probably be too many stupid power plays.

Nice hearing the garden "faithful" boo their team off the ice and boo Rick "no show" Nash every time he touches the puck.

The high priced players: Nash, Richards, St. Louis were complete no shows...no heart at all should have kept Callahan at least he had some balls

Remember Dump from ESPN saying that Rick Nash is a "proven big game performer" if he had a team around him?

:laugh3:

Dump always was an imbecile but he was fun because he was always easy to bait,

He was always confident about the great young rag$ players coming up. My favorite dump prediction was that Petr Prucha was and would be a dramatically better player than Parise

:laugh3::lol:

Don't forget Dan Blackburn being a sure fire Vezina winner if he didn't get hurt!

BTW, can you find Rick Nash in this picture?

I can't, much like in the playoffs he's nearly invisible :laugh3:
