all for Kovie... really this is not Ovie or Crosby or Taylor Pyatt. this guy has not proven enough in this league to take such a hit for him... the owners are nuts in NJ....

the nhl really took us to town for something they half admitted was legal under wording of the now old cba by agreeing to grandfather these things in for new rules.


i guess it came at the right time tho.the prospect pool is as deep as it will ever get for us right now and players need to start being shipped out or graduating

the bright side for the devils is they are saying they are planing to ditch about 4 mil in salary , so while the fine is 3, they are only going to be paying 2 mil over the cap

Didn't the arbiter say he didn't see any evidence the Devils tried to circumvent the cap? That was the first contract. 2nd contract was approved. So where are these penalties coming from again?

Only the NHL. The guys who run this league are buffoons, every damn one of them.

I thought the arbitrators are impartial and not employed by the NHL Not being a smart ass here just wondering. I don't think Bettman or the the NHLPA has any control over them.

If I was the arbitrator I would have fined them their first and second picks for the next 20 year.

Okay, I'm a tab biased. BTW, those picks would have gone to the Sabres.

i don't think the sabres are that bad, there just too many pieces short to do anything spectacular IMO. there above average but a step short from having a true chance
