u think its cheaper to go to a bar thats funny Cant get out of there for less than 50x17 thats $850

I don't drink...so my tab is usually $25-30 a pop for wings/drink/appetizer and tip. Bears get on national and/or 12pm/4pm regional a handful of times a year-so I only usually need to head out for 9-11 games. Basically costs me the same or less than Sunday Ticket and I get food/service. So it actually is a better deal from a monetary perspective. I just prefer to watch from home. Now if I was a heavy drinker....

Understood. Might point was it might change faster than you think.
When I was a kid, all TV was free. "Pay TV" was voted in and the statement was "it will only be a couple of premium channels"
The detractors said, "yeah, just a couple to start. Eventually they'll want you to pay for everything"
Flash forward 50 years later, do you know anyone that watches free TV off an antennae?

Life was different back then, going to school on the prairie and getting knobs from Laura Ingalls older sister for 10 cents or 3 fresh eggs. Ahh those were the days, rabbit ears and hardly any STD's

A deal with Amazon would result in a significant number of Thursday night games exclusively on its Prime Video platform and represent the league’s biggest move into streaming, the report said. Those games wouldn’t be available on traditional TV outside of the local markets of the two teams playing.

If Amazon’s deal is completed, it wouldn’t take effect until after the 2022 season, when Fox’s current pact for Thursday night football expires. Fox is now paying $660 million a season for that package, The Journal said, adding that Amazon’s deal could reach $1 billion.

Naw, that’s just for you Boys fans at Jerrah World. The rest of us usually pay around $700-$750; maybe $800 or so in places like NYC or Bahstan

Sadly that's close to true. Pro sports is no longer for the father/son to attend. It's all corporate tickets so out of reach for most. I haven't been to a Habs game in about 10 years now but I recall then a cup of shitty domestic beer was $13 and that was for a regular size. I expect it's over $20 by now.

Last game I went to I had a pulled pork and a glass of wine from the wine bar in AT&T (that sounds pretentious ) and told my kid 'you better learn a trade because that was your College fund' :thumb:

Talks have bogged down to a crawl. Owners don't have Jerry Jones or Robert Kraft in the room this year. Didsney, Peacock, Amazon and Netflix are all trying to buy into the TV rights but they all refuse to spend. The viewership was down in 2020 with more people sitting home and empty stadiums. That ain't good. The Networks need big numbers to sell to sdvertisers and the 2020 numbers just plain sucked. The owners are convinced that the numbers will get better, but they can sell what they don't have. The owners really needed this to be done by now and have a big bump in TV money and hope that it would move the cap up.

Maybe the owners need to regroup and bring Jerry and Bob into the conversation. The cap MUST be given to all teams by Saturday 3/13 because the legal tampering begins Sunday 3/14. Free Agency starts on the fist day of the new NFL season on Wednesday March 17.
