NFL rookie rankings: Ezekiel Elliott reigns, Carson Wentz drops

Since I am not really following the NFL

is there other Rookies that are shining that we all talked about Draft wise ?

That is just it with Bronco draft classes is the Broncos usually have a strong enough roster that they can let the rookies grow for a season so you won't usually see Bronco players listed on these types of lists. What I care about more is how they rank when that rookie contract ends. Look at the 2012 draft where so many rated that draft for the Broncos as a terrible class. And honestly until last year they were just an above average group. Wolfe was struggling to stay healthy, Malik was being used more as a rotation piece, Osweiler hadn't hardly played, and Hillman was on the verge of being cut. Really Trevathan was the only player that had established himself. Yet last year Malik became a star. Wolfe became one of the most dominant DL in the NFL. Osweiler didn't destroy the team when he was asked to play. Hillman was our leading rusher.

Honestly this past draft is probably my favorite of the Broncos since Elway took over. I have huge expectations for this group moving forward.

As for other rookies I think they have a pretty good list. Decent number of rookies contributing this season for teams. Looks like it was one of the deeper drafts in recent memory and most of the 1st round picks are at least contributing to teams. Might also be why this next draft looks so terrible. Just doesn't have the depth at some key positions that you would like. Some positions look good like RB and CB but yeah others it is pretty bad.

We need a DL to step up late this year Gotsis has to be getting his legs back under him .. It has been a full year since his Injury..


His snap Count has went up in recent weeks .

And he has actually done decently. Really to me the guy who has to step up is Sly. Last year we saw him making some incredible plays especially down the stretch that he just isn't making this year. He has regressed a bit.

I am really close to giving up on him (Sly) at NT .. I would move him to the edge for the rest of the season and let Gotsis go at NT .

I wouldn't mind giving Billy Wynn a start at NT. He has been actually our most all-around DL player this season even more so than Wolfe who has dealt with all the injuries. Not great as either a run defender or pass rusher but decent at both. Just time to shake some things up and let players know what we have seen is not acceptable. This unit has too much talent to be doing what they are doing.

Billy Wynn I agree on ..I think Sly might do Better at DE because as you said he is not getting it done in the trenches ..

I wonder if Sly is not a perfect LT .. No joking ... He is damn quick and fast feet ..

A little late in the game to be trying to make that switch. He came into the league a little older than most and is now getting ready for that next contract. Nobody is going to sign him to see if they can develop him into a LT. I do agree it would be interesting to see how he could handle such a switch.

Still I think that is his best fit if I was his coach .. I think we got Clady in him .


Clady was a DL when he went to Boise .

Yeah not a great stat to lead in but Dixon is actually ranked pretty high among Punters. Just showing again the Broncos made a very smart business decision in letting Colquitt walk. Right now I would say he is the 6th best punter in the NFL as a rookie!
