NFL Network Pro Bowl Draft is awful

Totally forgot about it. It seems like less of a big deal than ever before, which seems nearly impossible considering there were only about 50 people that would watch it every year.

Who cares? It's still the pro bowl after all. And this years it's the 3rd string pro bowl roster playing. I didn't watch it before, not going to watch it now.

I never had a doubt it would be. The game is a waste of time. Maybe make it a flag football game instead of full contact. That's the reason nobody wants to actually participate in the actual game. It's a business and risking an injury for a meaningless game is not smart business.

Playing flag football would allow them to at least run routes at full speed and have defensive players actually cover and try to get to the QB and rip his flag. I don't see a way to save this gimmick game.

This entire way of doing the Pro Bowl is completely stupid. You know what they should do?

Take the Pro Bowl Cheerleaders, have them do a Bikini Flag Football Game and send the rest of the people, starting with Rice and Deion, the fuck home!

Those declining to go are spoiled rich bitches. I say they let scout team players participate in the Pro Bowl. Least those guys would give a shit and would make it a great game.

Just get rid of the pro bowl but offer a skills competition like the NFL draft. I tune into the NFL draft all the time on combine to see how those guys do. If they did those same drills during the pro bowl, I could even better gauge which rookies share similar characteristics and athletic attributes as the elite of the NFL.

They go "Everyone has to pick a defensive tackle. There are 6 DTs. Team A for first. Team A picks Suh. Team B picks second. Team B picks Dallas DT. Team A then picks Gerald McCoy. Team B then picks Marcell Dareus. Team A picks the 5th guy and Team B picks the 6th guy because thats all that is left. Announcer randomly mentions who he thinks did a better job. Lets move on to Guards!"

Yep way too scripted the whole part about the draft is that anyone can go at any time. Ah well I like the concept but I'm sure the game will blow anyway which is too bad. Maybe flag football would be better....

The problem with the game is that everyone wants to be picked, no one wants to play. Until they get past that, the game is going to be horrible.

I say cancel it.

The players want it for the money but they just want to show up and just show up and go through the motions. It's a bad product.
