Based on what? A penalty stealing 1 win? The worst case of the drops in modern NFL history preventing victory in week 1? Neither is the fault of the MVP candidate. Like Allen, he's forcing the issue more this year to overcome the limitations of his team. Stats will suffer as a result.
Nevermind. Mahomes is a lock.

it's extremely hurtful to think I could simply have the Ravens results from the last 25 years.

I'd have to root for a qb with the intellect of a junior high student but he's really fast and very courteous to masseuses.

it would however seem you should potentially reconsider the NFC AFC discussion given the Bills Boys game.
Nope. NFC is better at the top. AFC has more “depth” = mediocre teams in a race to see who can be 9-8 or 10-7. The best teams are in the NFC.

It has to be McCaffrey, but since this is a QB award, it's gonna be either Purdy or Jackson

Today, they may very well be. 3 weeks to go.
Not based on what I saw last night. The D is legit Super Bowl caliber unit. I wasn’t impressed with the Ravens offense though. I think it’s slightly better than an average offense. This is evident in the red zone.

Isn't that technically a vote in the favor of Mahomes' value?
Not in my book. If we are the NBA and we want to prop up a candidate that can’t even get home court in the first round then sure. This award has generally gone to a member of the league’s best team. Not sure I would even have the Chiefs in the top 5 right now.

This has to be the year Lamar makes a run

or it just comes down to him not being able to perform in january.

Those results occurred because they freed themselves of being tethered to the armpit of America.

And that’s another thing that remains to be seen. Dak Prescott gets killed for being 2-4 in the playoffs in his career. But that’s two more playoff wins than Lamar has.

You may remember during his contract dispute that I defended Lamar and his value. I don’t hate the guy. But at some point, you have to show in sports that you can get it done in playoffs.

McCaffrey easily... nobody at the RB position is even close to his production and it's a pretty lackluster year for QBs with the injuries. Purdy is fairly mediocre.. he just gets praise because he has one of the best TEs, RBs, and WRs in the league... with a pretty decent OLINE. You could throw almost any QB in San Fran's system and it'd work. Look at Jimmy Garporlrorlrorlol.

I think McCaffrey is super special...he's more special than Purdy is

that said I don't think you can just toss any qb in there. Purdy is also very good..but I think he's a product of the "Tom Brady search"

where we are looking for that in everyone.

Listen, there’s a vast sea between “not quite MVP” and “fairly mediocre”. The whole fairly mediocre narrative needs to be retired. People think it’s so easy to read a defense, set a protection, work through a progression, and deliver a ball accurately. Does anybody watch this dude? The difference between him and Jimmy G and the other guys that have been back there is Purdy can improvise at a high level and extend plays when he has to. He’s not some tomato can. Dude is a top notch NFL QB and one of the best in the league. I hate squabbling over who is 4th best or who is 8th best yada yada yada. I’ll just say he’s one of the best in the league.
