Guess defense isn't important anymore...

I am fine with keeping it the way it was... I get why most people like this change but I personally don't

Amen...football is not like other sports. The defense can score and is equal part of t he game. Snowflakes win again.

I would have suggested, last score-other team gets ball. I get it, hard to make a rule around that but either way both teams get a chance instead of banking on a coin toss.

I am just glad I am not on the rules committee having to come up with this sh^t

Ok, I totally missed that part about the 2 point conversion having game end.. But yeah most likely teams won't.. Unless maybe the 2nd team with possession might be more likely

It's just as much of a chance as it is with opening coin toss.. Could be a shitty windy day and team loses coin toss and in the 4th quarter be down and having to go into the worst of the wind and not win a game because of it... I don't really think it is "robbing" a team of anything

Guess we should also do away with the walk off homer in baseball as well...

"chance" that is the key word... It is NOT a guarantee the first team will score and all you have to do on defense is hold them to a fg attempt and you get ball back

We are not talking baseball here and if I am correct doesn't the away team have the last at bat?

Why would you reward a team by chance and not play. Both team getting the ball allows both offenses and both defenses the opportunity to directly effect the outcome of the game/

They both have a CHANCE to directly affect the outcome of the game. Just because you won coin toss doesn't mean (yes I just saw the play off numbers and they are against me) but it doesn't guarantee a win)
